Welcome to the
krewe of F-Troop Tampa

About us

The krewe of F-Troop Tampa is a non-profit organization dedicated
to having fun and enriching the krewe life experience of it's members in Tampa Florida.

F-Troop was founded in 2004 by a group of men within the krewe of Rough Riders, where most had been active between 10 to 15 years.  This group had been involved with many Rough Rider committees—golf tournaments, socials, Vegas nights, St Patrick’s Parade, just to name a few.  The Founders, Ron Arkay, Joey Aucoin, Steve Aucoin and Randy Conte, along with Mike Edenfield as our parliamentarian, decided to start out on our own, wanting a smaller number of  members and control of our own destiny in the Krewe world.  The F-Troop theme was from the 60’s TV sitcom.  We started with a 50 member cap and decided that the only rank would be a 4-Star General.

The founding Brothers bought two previous fire trucks before deciding upon our 3rd and current one, which is a 1975 Great Eastern Fire Truck. This upgraded version was purchased from Scott Carroll who had acquired it from the Atlantic City Fire Department.  Bob Anderson designed our Fort Courage Infirmary float which was constructed by Bob, F-Troop members and friends.

After our first year, we had so much interest in the group that we decided to expand the membership cap to 75, where it remains to this day
.

Currently membership is open only to men and is by invitation only.
